TUTORIAL | Burned Paper Nails
1. Paint your nails with a light nude polish, wait until it’s completely dries.
2. Put a piece of newspaper in alcohol, and wait 15-20 sec.
3.Place the wet paper onto your nails, push it down with your fingers and wait until the alcohol evaporates (7-10 sec), and remove the paper.
4. Topcoat it with clear polish.
5. Draw some lines with black polish, where you want your burned papers edges.
6., 7. Put some black and brown polish with a piece of makeup sponge around the black lines.
8. Clean up the edges with acetone.
9. Use a matte topcoat.

I SPENT WAY TOO LONG LOOKING FOR THIS
Colors: Aruba Blue (Essie), Bam-blue-zled (Ulta), Sun-Sational (Ulta), Snow White (Ulta), Black Rage (Pure Ice).
“Starry Night” nails! :) I love this magical royal blue from Essie. When the light hits it, you get flashes of blues throughout. Beautiful!
Cool texture tip: I got the neat swirls on my thumb and ring finger by pushing my thumbprint into the middle of the polish when it was almost dry. Probably not how Van Gogh managed it, but I think it ended up looking pretty cool on my nail, lol.
If I could have 1% of Joya’s talent…..
This was recorded by the Portsmouth Sinfonia in an experiment where all the members of the orchestra would swap instruments with each other and attempt to play them to the best of their ability.
This is the result. And it makes me laugh every single time.
It tries to be so dramatic but it just falls flat. Love it.
This is my theme song
